Lot of girls I met online were quite nervous before the wedding. They had their doubts about a dress, shoes, jewelry, invitations, thank you notes, wedding favors and so on...

My experience was quite the opposite, I enjoyed every step of organizing it. Perhaps the secret lay in the fact that I knew what I wanted from the beginning. Deciding what kind of wedding you want, usually is the turning point after which everything becomes easier.

Since I had no idea where to start, I searched for information online. I discovered the internet forum "Dream wedding" where I found all the information I needed, without which I would be completely lost and quite nervous bride to be myself.

After finding the band and a restaurant, I learned that it would be good to pick the wedding theme and color. Since I love red and butterflies, that was an easy task.

First I dealt with invitations. I bought glass tubes which I decorated with polymer clay. They were far from perfect, but everything doesn't have to be perfect to be perfect for you.
I designed the invitation in PS and had it printed on fine paper.

Customs differ from part to part of Croatia, we were handing our invitations personally, and that was the tougher job than decorating the glass tubes.

Usually the invitations and thank you notes are designed accordingly, but we decided to thank our guests with a picture in a photo frame instead, packed with vine bottles I decorated with decoupage technique.

Before this adventure, I had no knowledge of decoupage technique. Basics are easy to learn and you can find lots of tutorials and instructions online.

I have to thank my friends who helped me pack frames and bottles, I wouldn't have finished it on time by myself!

We decided to make badges instead of classic lapels. Again, I played in PS and sent the photo to company which makes badges. A box full of these was delivered to my home address:





I arranged the table decorations for guest tables as well. It turned out to be cheaper than having the florist make them.

Since I am not a fan of shopping, I decided to have my wedding dress sewn. I found some photos of wedding dresses I liked online and Melita from Kookabee design, listening my numerous suggestions designed a perfect wedding dress. Off course, it had red details and a butterfly.





For my hubby we found Fender cuff links on Ebay.





There I found this hair piece as well.





Table numbers were made last minute. I completely forgot about them so we went for simplest solution of all.

Though I dreamed about a small wedding, after the first steps in organizing the wedding, I started to enjoy the process. I am happy hubby talked me into it because, after a year and a half of planning and organizing it, it turned out to be the most beautiful day of my life.
